Launching a Unique Mobile Retail Format with Rapid Implementation
This project involved crafting a groundbreaking retail format tailored for mobile phone retailing. We initiated by analyzing market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitive offerings to define a format strategy that would capture market demand and drive profitability. After evaluating unit economics, we conducted a retail catchment analysis to assess the impact on existing stores and forecasted demand on a city-by-city basis to estimate store potential. The strategy included a detailed growth plan that covered all aspects essential for scaling, such as manpower requirements, real estate strategy, and logistics planning. With a well-founded, bottoms-up business plan, we presented the project to the board and obtained swift approval to proceed with the implementation. Our support extended into executing a detailed merchandising strategy, identifying reliable suppliers, and negotiating supplier agreements to ensure an optimal supply chain. We developed comprehensive store operations guidelines, recruited for leadership positions, and evaluated the technology stack, including ERP solutions, to optimize efficiency and data management. Throughout this phase, we worked closely with the client to streamline retail processes, enabling a smooth rollout. Our meticulous planning and hands-on implementation led to the opening of the first stores within just eight months, setting a new benchmark for rapid retail market entry in the mobile segment and establishing a scalable model for future growth across the country.
